Avoca Beach

We finished the autumn season with our second edition of Unique Weekend Retreat, and once again it reminded us how beautiful it is to step away from routine and reconnect through movement, nature, and community.

This time we travelled to Avoca Beach, staying in a cozy house that felt perfect for the weekend. The fire was on, warm tea in our hands, and little by little the retreat atmosphere began to unfold.

Before anything began, we created a moment to arrive.

We opened the retreat with a visualisation meditation — a space to slow down, breathe, and imagine ourselves entering the weekend with presence. It was not only a meditation, but also a way to learn how powerful the mind can be when we connect it with the body.

The girls were invited to visualise their bodies during the retreat: moving on the sand, breathing with the ocean, feeling strong, feeling calm, feeling supported, and opening themselves to everything the weekend could bring.

From that place of awareness, we moved into Friday’s workshop with Angelica, where she guided us through the beautiful practice of caring for our bodies through maderotherapy and lymphatic circulation.

It became more than a workshop — it was a moment of learning, recovery, and body awareness. Sitting together in a circle of women, sharing stories, slowing down, and understanding the body in a deeper way created a beautiful sense of connection to begin the retreat.

Saturday surprised us with changing weather and fresh air. We started the morning with breakfast on the balcony, breathing in the ocean atmosphere before heading to the beach.

As the sun slowly appeared, the nets went up and movement began.

Before stepping into sand conditioning, we paused to speak about attention and intention — two ideas that became part of the energy of the day.

Attention to be fully present.
To listen.
To observe.
To feel.
To learn.

Intention to transform that presence into action.
To try.
To adjust.
To trust the process.
To keep showing up.

From there, sand conditioning, training sessions, games, and learning filled the morning. Everyone moved with beautiful energy, effort, and purpose — bringing attention to every action and continuing to grow together through beach volleyball.

And as always, we finished with one of the most special parts of the retreat — our Ritual Tournament.

The girls painted their faces, chose their team energy, played with heart, and celebrated each other through every point, every laugh, and every moment on the sand. More than competition, it became a celebration of courage, connection, and sisterhood.

This edition, first place went to Gaby and Mel, and second place went to Louise and Marianne — a beautiful final moment to celebrate teamwork, effort and the spirit of the retreat.

This second edition reminded us that movement can bring us together, nature can help us reset, and community can make us feel supported, inspired, and alive.

Thank you to every woman who joined, shared, helped, moved, played, cooked, laughed, and brought her own unique energy to this weekend.

Unique Weekend Retreat is not only about beach volleyball.
It is about connection.
It is about confidence.
It is about creating memories with women who inspire each other.

Until the next one 🌊🤍✨
